Tasty Tuesday: Antioxidant Shake
Simple and delicious for energy is my go to on snacks. My favorite is a delicious smoothie that is a big hit in my house, children included. It contains lots of vitamins and nutrients. I like to use my Nutribullet but it can be made in any type of blender.
½ cup water 1-2 handfuls of spinach- Approximately 1 cup 2-4 Strawberries (can be fresh or frozen) 1/3 c blueberries (can be fresh or frozen) 3-5 Ice cubes
Blend well and drink! This is a perfect snack for expectant moms, breastfeeding moms, moms on the go, and the entire family!
Benefits: Spinach- High in antioxidants like carotenoids, also in folate, and vitamin K, C, A, and E. Strawberries- Full of vitamin C which aids in circulation and iron absorption. Also contain folate, fiber, and potassium Blueberries- High in antioxidants which aid in immunity. Blueberries also are a natural anti-inflammatory
